Commuter Connection PA

Trolley

SEPTA operates 6 inner-city trolley lines and two suburban trolley lines.  The 11, 13 and 36 all run from Southwest Philadelphia to City Hall in Center City, with the 11 running through the center of Southwest Philadelphia along Woodland Avenue, and the 36 stopping a short distance from the Philadelphia International Airport.  These lines are integral to the neighborhood, carrying over 80,000 people daily.

Bicycles are not allowed on trollies at any time due to the stairs, narrow isles and lack of bicycle racks.  Multi-modal commuters should find a safe place to lock their bicycle, preferably an area with high traffic or within view of store security cameras.  Most stations and stops do not have bicycle racks.  Folding bicycles are allowed on trollies at all times, provided they are completely folded prior to boarding the trolley.

Tokens for the trolley system are $1.55 a piece, and can be purchased at the 13th Street, 15th Street and 30th Street stations, online, at SEPTA ticket sales offices and some retailers.  Trips without a ticket cost $2.00 on the trollies, and exact change is needed. Below you will find links to routing information for trollies that will help you plan your daily commute.
